This is the 1942 contract A-2 jacket from J. A. Dubow Mfg Co., one of the most well-known A-2 jacket manufacturers from Chicago, Illinois.

The Dubow 27798 jacket is distinguished by the signature collar and unique big square mil.spec. label which includes the size. Apart from the beautifully shaped collar this jacket features some of the best seen curved and pointy pocket flaps and big x-box epaulets. The jacket has a slim athletic fit and although the back is somewhat narrow the wearer’s comfort is not compromised thanks to the wider top part of the sleeves.

The originals were made in seal and russet horsehide. Some were also made with goatskin.

Our reproduction is an exact replica of the original.

Jacket on display made with Liberty Horsehide Russet , tobacco brown lining and olive drab thread.
