While retaining many hallmarks of earlier Aero contracts—including a familiar, comfortable fit—this model introduces subtle distinctions that set it apart. Notably, some examples of contract 18775 feature elegantly rounded pocket flaps in place of the traditional squared design, a rare variation that adds character and collector appeal.

Originally produced in russet horsehide with brown or rust colored knits, select jackets were crafted in darker horsehide with red-rust knits, echoing the signature details of prior wartime contracts W535-AC-21996 and 42-15142. The darker hides age to reveal a luminous patina with warm reddish undertones, a testament to the jacket’s natural beauty and timeless appeal. Stitching was rendered in both brown and olive tones, complemented by Aero’s iconic large-ring snaps.
