Nuremberg Aviator

In January 2024, we were contacted by the costume designer of the upcoming film "Nuremberg" (2025), starring Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, and Michael Shannon, who commissioned us to produce a leather jacket for the movie’s main character. The request called for the creation of a historically accurate piece inspired by a vintage civilian, privately purchased jacket that would complement the film’s World War II setting, showcasing our craftsmanship and attention to authentic period details. It was further specified that the jacket should embody a character that would help establish Douglas Kelley as a renegade, a free thinker, and not a conventional army type.

We created this beautifully crafted half-belt jacket featuring a classic asymmetrical front zipper design. The jacket includes a wide lapel collar and a distinctive D-pocket, complete with a patch pocket with flap and button closure, as well as an additional angled slit pocket on the lower front. The cuffs have buttoned straps for adjustment, and the interior lining is made of warm brown 100% cotton fabric, while the sleeves are lined with rayon. The chosen label for this piece is "Block-Bilt", appropriate for a high-quality, handcrafted design inspired by early to mid-20th-century aviator styles.
