How to measure yourself for jacket ordering.
Please let us have the following 5 measurements before you order.
1. Your Height
2. Your Weight
3. Your Chest circumference (wearing a t-shirt only).
Use a measuring tape and measure around your chest (at nipples level).
4. Your Waist circumference (at belly button level).
5. Your Lower Waist circumference (at belt level).
6. Your Shoulder circumference
With the arms relaxed and down at the side, measure around the shoulders just above the biceps. (Don’t take this measurement yourself, ask somebody else to help you so that you have both your arms down at the sides during measurement).
Montgomery Ward Leather Hunting Jacket
Montgomery Ward Leather Hunting Jacket
£1,235.00
Montgomery Ward was a historic American retail company that operated as a mail-order and department store retailer. It sold a wide range of clothing under its own private-label brands, as well as products from third-party manufacturers.
It was founded 1872 by Aaron Montgomery Ward in Chicago, Illinois and peaked during the late 19th & early 20th centuries.
It was one of the first companies to make affordable fashion available to rural America through mail-order catalogs offering workwear, casual wear, and formal wear for men, women, and children.
Some clothing brands associated with Montgomery Ward included:
- Sportswear
- Powr House (workwear, denim, and outerwear)
- Airvent (sportswear)
- Montgomery Ward Signature (private-label fashion line)
- Windward (outdoor clothing)
This jacket is a rare gem from the late 1930's featuring some great details.
- Slide fastener front with two breast zipped pockets and two bottom buttoned up patch pockets.
- Fully lined throughout body and sleeves and has and wide inside front facings extending to bottom of jacket.
- Back decorated with two deep map pockets with flaps and sleeves ending in nicely shaped buttoned cuffs.
- Adjustable side straps with buttons.
A very stylish choice indeed, offered also at the time by competitor makers such as J.C. Penney and perhaps others too.
A similar design was marketed in recent years by Ralph Lauren, but there really weren't any faithful reproductions made, until now.
