Arco 18775

Aero Leather Clothing Co. - Contract/Order No: W535ac 28819 42-18775P

Arco 18775

£875.00

This is the very last A-2 contract made by Aero Leather Clothing Co. Inc of Beacon, New York.

Its construction is quite similar with some of the earlier versions of Aero A-2 jackets including the fit. Interestingly enough however, there have been some 18775 jackets made with rounded pockets instead of the usual squared ones.

Jackets of this contract were made with russet leather and brown knits but there were also some made with darker horsehide and red rust knits, the latter being features common in the previous wartime contracts W535-AC-21996 and 42-15142. The darker hides they used exhibited a gradual color loss creating beautiful patina with reddish undertones. Both brown and olive thread was used and of course the large ring snaps.

Our reproduction is extremely well made and we can offer any of the above color variations.

Jacket on display made with Victory Horsehide Dark Seal, mustard brown lining and olive drab thread.
